Sydney duo Flight Facilities got airborne with a sack full of remixes for the likes of Bag Raiders, Sneaky Sound System and The Lowbrows before turning out a hip-whipping edit of Toecutter's Best Party Ever. Now they're pulling back on the stick with a rippin' mini-mix for the Banggang, which recently dropped its 2-CD 12s compilation to mark four years of, well, banging.

Pop victim

Canadian nu-disco art project Fan Death are back on the scene with a follow-up to their earlier singles, Veronica's Veil and Cannibal. This time with a creepy-cool visual immersion to remind us that, as my friend Michael so sagely remarked, our youth is a goldmine of nightmares. Thanks to Matthew for the find.

Fan Death - Reunited

Watch for Fan Death's full-length EP, A Coin for the Well, out early 2010.

Jared K - September Mix

I was flipping through my crates today, pulling out once-familiar sleeves and dusting off neglected B-sides. One groove led to another, and I found myself pitch-deep in a scattered mix of old skool, spoken word and disco-seasoned house. First real vinyl jam in a long time…damn.

Speech Debelle locks down a Mercury

Talk about a coup for independence. After 15 years of pressing the most consistently solid cuts in the game, Ninja Tune and Big Dada get their due in the form of lyrical upstart Speech Debelle, who scooped this year's Mercury Prize for her Speech Therapy album. Good on ya, bird.

The real jazz

House blazer Tore "Erot" Kroknes was at the top of his game when he remixed Thomas Krome's The Real Jazz back in '99. Two years later, he was gone at 23. I still get chills from these keys.

Glitter done

While I have a hate on for vocoder overkill, French producer/DJ Vitalic pushes my buttons just right with Your Disco Song, the first single off his new album, Flashmob, officially dropping late September. Video by Christine Massy and Brice Van Der Haegen.
